Chicago officer suffers graze wound to face in shooting

A Chicago police spokesman says an officer was grazed by a bullet when a suspect fired toward a squad car.

Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi tweeted that the officer suffered a graze wound to the face Tuesday night.

He says officers were trying to stop a car in connection with a possible carjacking when the driver shot at their vehicle. Backup units saw the shooting and returned fire.

Guglielmi says the suspect was not struck, was later apprehended and was being questioned.
