Postings on the Facebook page of a popular bakery owned by a religious sect are causing a buzz in what's known as "America's Hometown."

The Blue Blinds Bakery opened eight years ago, just up the hill from Plymouth Rock in Massachusetts.

About three weeks ago, messages began to appear on the bakery's Facebook page accusing the sect of child abuse and racism. The group denies the allegations.

The man who posted them is a former bakery worker who left the sect five years ago and identified himself as 21-year-old Kayam Mathias. He says children often are disciplined with a cane or a wooden stick on the palm or buttocks.

A sect member who manages the bakery says there's no child abuse in the community.
