COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-- A cell phone in the back pocket of a Colorado Springs woman's pants appears to have stopped a bullet.

Police say that a shooting Friday night in a Colorado Springs apartment complex did not hurt anyone -- but a woman said her phone was struck by a bullet.

The Gazette reports that officers were called to the complex after reports of approximately 10 rounds being fired. They found several shell casings.

A woman told officers that she was standing outside when her cell phone was struck by a bullet.

The phone was ruined, but she wasn't hurt.

Another resident in the complex told police that he was in his apartment when a bullet blasted through the wall, whizzed over his head and ricocheted off the wall behind him.
