Students from a Boston-area high school with a large Jewish enrollment taunted students from an all-boys Catholic school during a basketball game about not having girl students, prompting the Catholic school students to chant: "You killed Jesus!"

The Boston Globe (http://bit.ly/22cavzo) reports the chanting horrified and upset many who were attending the Friday game between Newton North and Catholic Memorial School.

Catholic Memorial President Peter Folan apologized Saturday for what he called "abhorrent behavior." He says the school "believes deeply that intolerance, of any kind, is unacceptable." He says the school will "strenuously address" the issue within the school community.

Newton Superintendent David Fleishman says he found the behavior "chilling." He says he has contacted the Anti-Defamation League about it, and Newton students on Monday will discuss what happened.
