LAS VEGAS-- A gun-toting bandit who held up a craps table at the Bellagio casino on the Las Vegas Strip for $1.5 million in chips has been sentenced to up to 11 years in prison.
Anthony Carleo faced a judge on Tuesday on charges of felony armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon for the December heist.
Carleo was sentenced to at least 3 years in prison and given credit for 202 days he was in jail. He could serve up to a maximum of 11 years in prison.
The judge agreed to hold off deciding whether Carleo has to repay the chips, which have been largely recovered.
He also faces sentencing later this week for an earlier robbery the Suncoast casino in Vegas.
