A former assistant city manager of the Southern California city of Bell is free on bail three days after she was arrested in a corruption probe.

Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Henry Garza says Angela Spaccia was released Friday night on a $350,000 bond.

Spaccia was among the eight current and former Bell officials arrested Tuesday and charged with misappropriating more than $5.5 million in public funds.

The group also includes Bell's mayor and ex-city manager, who remain in custody.

Three others were released from jail Wednesday night after posting bond that ranged from $120,000 to $260,000.
