HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. -- Authorities say a newborn girl was found dead in a bathroom stall at a North Carolina grocery store.

An employee at a Bi-Lo in Hendersonville called police around 9 p.m. Sunday to say the infant's body was found wrapped in a blanket in the women's bathroom.

Police say the baby girl appears to be only a day or two old and the blanket has words in Spanish that mean "my baptism."

Investigators are reviewing surveillance tapes to see if they can find who brought the child into the store.

An autopsy has been ordered on the baby, and authorities hope to get the results in as early as Tuesday.
