The Flathead Avalanche Center says a snowmobiler has died in an avalanche on the Idaho-Montana border.

The center says a group of four snowmobilers triggered the avalanche about 1:15 p.m. Saturday while riding in the West Cabinet Range about 15 miles southwest of Troy, Mont.

The Montana-based center says two snowmobilers were buried, but one had his face exposed and was dug out with no injuries.

The center says the other snowmobiler was fully buried and died.

Names haven't been released.
