An autopsy shows that a Navy pilot who killed three people and himself at a condominium in a San Diego suburb was drunk at the time.

The San Diego County medical examiner released the report Thursday saying that 25-year-old John Robert Reeves had a blood-alcohol content of .16 — twice the legal limit for driving.

Authorities say Reeves, his roommate and others had partied in San Diego on New Year's Eve and returned to their condo in Coronado at about 2 a.m. They say Reeves then shot his roommate, 25-year-old David Reis; Reis's sister, 24-year-old Karen Reis, and 31-year-old Matthew Saturley before shooting himself.

U-T San Diego (http://bit.ly/IfRlDI ) reports that investigators haven't determined a motive but that Reeves may have been romantically fixated on Karen Reis.
