Authorities: 2 Escaped Inmates Still at Large in Arkansas

Law enforcement officers are looking for two inmates who escaped from the Pulaski County Detention Center.

Pulaski County Sheriff's spokesman, Lt. Carl Minden, says 37-year-old Fredrick Young and 44-year-old Joe Patton were noticed missing about 10 p.m. Friday and were still at large on Saturday.

Minden says it appears they somehow got through security fencing on top of an open-air recreation yard, climbed onto the roof of the administration portion of the building and jumped off.

Patton is being detained on rape, kidnapping and other charges. Young is charged with aggravated assault and illegal possession of a firearm.

Authorities say Patton is a black male who is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 130 pounds. Young is a black male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 140 pounds.
