The Associated Press and other media have sued a prosecutor to force release of video from a University of Cincinnati police officer's fatal shooting of a motorist in a traffic stop.

The lawsuit filed Friday in the Ohio Supreme Court follows numerous requests to Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act. Other media suing are The Cincinnati Enquirer and Cincinnati television stations WCPO, WLWT, WXIX and WKRC.

The FOIA requests and the lawsuit seek public release of all video related to the July 19 shooting of 43-year-old Samuel Dubose.

Deters' spokeswoman said they haven't seen the lawsuit and had no comment. Deters has refused to release body-camera footage until his investigation is completed.

University police report Tensing says he was dragged by Dubose's car.
