Four men accused of attacking a suburban motorist who accidentally struck a 10-year-old boy on Detroit's east side are scheduled to appear in Wayne County Circuit Court.

Bruce Wimbush Jr., Latrez Cummings, James Davis and Wonzey Saffold face arraignment Monday on assault with intent to murder charges.

A judge last week ordered the men — ages 17 to 30 — to stand trial in the brutal beating of 54-year-old Steve Utash.

A 16-year-old boy faces a June trial in juvenile court on ethnic intimidation and assault charges.

Utash suffered severe head injuries April 2 after being punched and kicked when he stopped to help a boy who stepped from a curb into the path of his pickup truck.

Utash remains hospitalized. The 10-year-old boy suffered a leg injury.
