SALT LAKE CITY โ Authorities say they found a 3-year-old boy who was sitting in a car stolen outside a Utah day care after he answered his mother's cellphone and honked the horn to draw their attention.
Police in the city of Ogden say the boy's mother left the unlocked car running as she dropped off another child around 7 a.m. Tuesday. When she walked out, she saw someone driving her car away with her son inside.
Lt. Tim Scott says responding officers called the woman's cellphone, which was in the car. The boy answered and told officers he was alone, but he didn't know where he was.
Police told him to honk the horn, and the noise helped them find the car abandoned about three blocks away.
