NEW YORK – The Federal Aviation Administration says three bird strikes were reported in a four-hour period at New York's LaGuardia Airport and no one was injured in any of the strikes.
The FAA says two of the arriving planes Wednesday belonged to ExpressJet Airlines. One was turning to land at around 7:15 a.m. It had evidence of a bird strike on its nose gear. The other was taxiing to a ramp at around 9 a.m. when it reported a strike.
An incoming Air Canada flight landed safely after reporting a bird strike 12 miles northeast of LaGuardia at around 11:15 a.m.
