Family and friends are gathering for the funeral of two young siblings who were found dead this month in a Connecticut home filled with natural gas.

The service for 7-year-old Daaron Moore and his 6-year-old sister, Aleisha Moore, is scheduled for Tuesday morning at Varick Memorial AME Zion Church in New Haven. Burial will follow in Easton.

Their bodies were found in their East Haven home June 2. The medical examiner's office has not yet determined how they died.

Their mother, LeRoya Moore, is charged with two counts of murder. Police say she was found at the home with arm injuries that appeared to be the result of a failed suicide attempt.

Court documents say Moore left a note saying she was sending the children to heaven.
