Two mothers have been banned from a Florida elementary school after allegedly getting into a brawl in front of children at a school talent show.
St. Cloud police tell News4Jax.com that Latisha James and Jessica Tyler were attending their children's talent show at Lakeview Elementary School when Tyler asked James, who was videotaping, to sit down because she was blocking her view.
Police said the women were swearing and that one of the women choked the other before another parent intervened to break up the fight, according to the report.
According to a recording of the 911 call obtained by the station, Tyler claimed she was attacked after accidentally bumping into James' child.
James, who was arrested on suspicion of battery, told News4Jax.com she was standing up to take photos of her daughter on stage.
"I didn't go to the school with the intention of messing up the show or putting my hands on anybody," James told the station. "I don't behave like that. I cannot say how much, how remorseful I am. I am totally remorseful. I've never been to jail before."
Tyler was not arrested after police spoke with witnesses. She told the station she feels she was the victim and is upset that she won't be able to attend her daughter's fifth-grade graduation ceremony.
