Two men have died days after they were found shot in the head and burning alive in a rural part of Northern California.

The Sacramento Bee reports (http://bit.ly/1QZbW26) that 34-year-old Warren Alexander Galsote and 33-year-old Jason John Benson died overnight Saturday, three days after they were found burning in unincorporated Placer County near Roseville.

Placer County sheriff's officials have not identified a motive or suspects in the attack. Spokeswoman Dena Erwin says the two men had no connection to the neighborhood where they were found.

A resident found the victims near his home.

Benson's father, Kevin, tells the Bee he was not aware of his son being involved with any gangs. Jason Benson had been living with and caring for his grandparents.
