Authorities say two men were injured in a car-to-car shooting on a San Francisco freeway.

San Francisco police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza says men from one vehicle fired on the two men in the other at the connector of Interstate 280 and U.S. 101 at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Esparza says one man was hit in the torso and leg and the other in the neck or head. The men, both in their 20s, were taken to a hospital. There was no immediate word on their condition.

Police were still seeking the suspect and asking for witnesses who might have seen the shooting to come forward.

The freeway was shut down for hours in the area for the investigation.
