Digital billboards will be advertising the $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the Phoenix-area freeway shootings.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials announced Wednesday that 16 all-digital billboards will be on display around the Phoenix metropolitan area.

The department also has distributed up to 8,000 fliers to raise awareness about the shootings and reward.

The flier is written in English and Spanish.

Authorities are investigating 11 confirmed vehicle shootings since Aug. 29, mostly along Interstate 10.

Some involve bullets and others came from projectiles that could include BBs, pellets or rocks.

Authorities say no motive has been established.

State troopers have been patrolling freeways from early morning to night.

DPS spokesman Bart Graves says there hasn't been a confirmed shooting in the case since Sept. 10.
