With more than a quarter of a million fans coming to New Orleans for the BCS National Championship between Alabama and LSU kicking off Monday, hotels in New Orleans are nearly all sold out.

For some fans traveling to see the big game doesn't mean roughing it.

Parking lots throughout The Big Easy are filled with hundreds of yellow and gold, or crimson-clad, RV’s- some costing more than a million-dollars.  What could possibly be inside a motor home to make it cost a million-plus dollars?  For starters, a fireplace, two-bathrooms, four TV’s, a king sized bed and walk-in shower.

Another motor home we toured is actually built on the bed of an 18-wheeler. Inside, besides comfy couches and big TV’s, the tile floors are temperature controlled, staying between 72 and 76-degrees Fahrenheit. The big-screen TV in the bedroom doubles as a mirror when it’s turned off.

The front windshield of George Boudreaux’s 45 ft. Tiffin Zephyr is filled with LSU Tiger memorabilia, including a miniature replica of the BCS National Championship Trophy. Inside is a spacious living area lined with leather sofas next to the full kitchen, complete with a family-sized fridge and freezer.

Two big-screen TV’s, one at each end of the living room, ensure a single play isn’t missed.

“We’re known for the distinction of never having lost a tailgate party,” Boudreaux says.

His bedroom has an additional television to enjoy while lying on a King-sized bed. The bathroom is beautifully decorated, includes two sinks, granite counter-tops, and a walk-in shower with a sunroof.

Boudreaux travels to almost every LSU football game with his wife in their RV, which is now the 13th they’ve owned. The friends they’ve made along the way is one of this Tiger fan’s favorite parts.

“We’ve been all over the country, met a lot of really nice people,” Boudreaux says.

Boudreaux traveled down to New Orleans from Baton Rouge with a caravan of more than 60 other RV’s, all making the trip with hopes of celebrating another national championship for LSU.
