A Southwest Airlines plane had to make an emergency landing in Florida Tuesday after strange smells were reported in the cabin.
Flight 1539 was heading from Orlando to Houston when it had to be diverted to Pensacola International Airport after the fumes were discovered coming from the back of the aircraft.

After landing safely, Southwest Airlines spokesman Brian Parrish said that maintenance met the flight to determine the source of the smell, which was discovered to be coming from the coffee maker.
Once the plane was deemed safe, the flight continued on to its final destination.
“Safety is always our top priority at Southwest Airlines, and we appreciate the patience of our customers during today’s diversion,” Parrish told Fox News in a statement.

This isn’t the first time an abnormal odor has been the caused trouble on a plane. In October, six American Airlines crew members sought medical attention after noticing a possible smell in the cabin of a plane at Boston’s Logan International Airport. The airline did not confirm what caused the smell, but the flight departed after an inspection.
