On Thursday, Delta Air Lines announced the rollout of its new premium economy class seating for long-haul flights. The class has been dubbed "Delta Premium" and it's slated to debut late 2017.
Delta Premium will be added to the airline’s upcoming Airbus A350s in 2017 and its Boeing 777 fleet beginning in 2018.
According to Delta’s website, Delta Premium will offer additional space, and more amenities including 19-inch wide seats, 38 inches of pitch (giving passengers 6-7 inches of additional legroom), 13.3-inch in-flight entertainment screens, power ports at every seat and more.
As for other amenities, passengers will be eligible to receive a free drink, blankets, amenity kits and noise canceling headphones. The Delta Premium ticket will also help customers check-in faster, avoid long security lines, board their flights earlier and make baggage return faster.
“Delta Premium is Delta's latest example of paying careful attention to what customers tell us they want and responding with unique products designed to meet their individual needs,” Delta senior vice president Tim Mapes said in a statement.

In addition, Delta announced the debut of the Delta One suite on its Airbus A350s planes starting in late 2017, making them the world’s first business class cabins to feature a sliding door at each suite.
Delta One suites will also feature one of the largest widescreen in-flight entertainment systems among U.S. carriers, personal stowage areas and premium trim and finishes. The new Airbus A350s planes will also feature high capacity overhead bins, upgraded lavatories, ambient lighting, and access to Wi-Fi.
