CONGRESS HAS JUST 28 MORE "WORKING DAYS" BEFORE MIDTERM ELECTIONS

MICHELLE FIELDS: Usually I'm okay with members of Congress not being in sessions, that way they're not wasting our money on stupid things. However, there are a lot of serious issues that need to be addressed right now, like the VA scandal. Our members of Congress shouldn't be out and about drinking mimosas while our veterans are dying. They need to fix this right now. Democrats like to say that this is all Republicans' fault; that they are the obstructionists. No, Harry Reid is the obstructionist. He is the one who has essentially shut down the Senate. He doesn't want Democrats to take any votes on anything, because he's scared they will be vulnerable before the midterm elections.

JUAN WILLIAMS: This is an outrage, but this is what has been going on in Washington, not just in this period. This is the least productive Congress in history. This is worse than Harry Truman's "do nothing Congress". They've only passed I think it's 121 bills as of July 1. So what you see is obstructionism. This is an intentional strategy to break the American government.

JONATHAN HOENIG: It's this mentality-and Juan echoes it-that government has got to do something. We have to do something. And essentially to "do something" is what gave us ObamaCare, Dodd-Frank, and the soda ban in New York City. What is government? It is a gun. So it should be very judicious about how that gun is used. To Michelle's point, it should start by cleaning its own house. The VA scandal, the IRS scandal, the eruption in the Middle East are all the proper views of government, but it's all a-wall and focusing on the wrong things.

WAYNE ROGERS: I guess I'm the lone person here who thinks I would be very happy here if they did nothing. I like "do nothing" Congresses. They pass regulations; they spend an awful lot of time. If you looked at the massive laws that they have passed just in the last - the so-called "do nothing Congress"-it's unbelievable! We weren't put here and living in this country to have the government interferes in our lives every day. If they did nothing we'd be much better off. All of these regulations that they pass that we have to adhere to, all of these things that they do are a waste of our time, a waste of our money, and a waste of the nation's resources.

SUPREME COURT DEALS ANOTHER BLOWTO PUBLIC-SECTOR UNIONS

JONATHAN HOENIG: Any time you can get rid of force in America, that's a positive thing. Unions have to use it because they can't compete in a free market, so they use government really as a weapon, getting these special deals, special advantages that aren't given to any other group or any other individual. As you mentioned, in Illinois they wanted to get every home health care worker classified as "public employee". Why? Because they get Medicaid dollars. Well you can't be in health care without getting Medicaid's dollars. So what are unions in today's economy? They're fascist parasites. Thy only support a free society when they're at the helm.

JUAN WILLIAMS: Unions are a dying breed. There's no question if you look at the statistics, but fascist? Oh my God. You know unions helped raise wages for those very workers. That woman we just saw in the clip before the commercial, she gets higher pay because of the union negotiations.

WAYNE ROGERS: To Jonathan's point, we should not be forced or coerced to join a union. That robs me of my freedom of choice. By the way, I'm a union member. I thought it was good what the unions did for me, it was good for the economy. That was a while ago. Now they should be concentrating on creating jobs, instead of stopping jobs being created. That's what the unions should be - and could be doing, by the way. To Jonathan's point, instead of trying to get people o not work-try to get them to work. Don't interfere in the free market process.

MICHELLE FIELDS: Unions are in the business of giving money to Democratic candidates and Democratic causes. This ruling is great. It's great for the economy. It's great for jobs. I only wish that it were extended to all public-sector unions. If unions are so great, Juan, why aren't people voluntarily joining them? Because they know that their money is basically stolen from them and given to Democratic candidates. I don't think it's a coincidence that every highly-unionized domestic industry in this country has basically collapsed because of unions. They're bad for the economy and bad for the American people.

REPORT: US RANKS 36TH IN FREEDOM SATISFACTION SURVEY

WAYNE ROGERS: This is no coincidence at all in the following sense: the use by the president of executive orders, and the Congress not doing anything about it, not trying to curb the president-you've got to remember something: the Constitution was written for the purpose of protecting its citizens from the excesses of its own government. That is not what has been done. The government is actually operating pro-former to do things that it thinks are better.

MICHELLE FIELDS: It's not surprising. We have an administration that spies on us, an administration that tells us what kinds of birth control they have to provide for their employees. We thought we elected a president who was a professor of constitutional law, and instead what we got was a president that wants to rip up the Constitution.

JONATHAN HOENIG: Let's define what the word "freedom" means. "Freedom" means freedom from force, freedom from coercion, not freedom from worry, or freedom from want, or free college, or free health care, or free condoms, or freedom from anything else. It's only possible in a free society like America, where your life always belongs to you; not the czar, not the king, not the priest, or not to the greater good. Does that sound familiar? Of course that's what Obama talks about all the time. We're all in it together. It's all for the greater good. That makes every individual a slave.

JUAN WILLIAMS: Gee, pay taxes, obey air traffic rules, stop at red lights: it's just too much for me. I must tell you, on this 4th of July, I happen to think America is great. I happen to think we have tremendous freedoms. I don't want to live in China. I don't want to live in Uzbekistan, but I'm going to come visit. American freedoms-I value America's freedoms.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?

WAYNE ROGERS: (TRN) UP NEARLY 15 percent SINCE I PICKED IN MAY; STOCK STILL HEADING HIGHER
