Strong winds from the Ohio River Valley to the Mid-Atlantic; rain on the way for the Gulf of Mexico

A few strong storms primarily with damaging wind gusts and some hail will develop later today from the Ohio River Valley through the Central Appalachians to the Mid-Atlantic.

Leftover tropical moisture from the undeveloped disturbance near the western Gulf of Mexico will enhance rainfall from the Gulf Coast to the Mid-Mississippi River Valley and Southeast through the end of the week.
