GREG GUTFELD, CO-HOST: That's when I found out about the publicly nudity laws.

DANA PERINO, CO-HOST: Weird.

GUTFELD: Yeah. Hello, everyone. I'm Greg Gutfeld, along with Kimberly Guilfoyle, Juan Williams, Eric Bolling and she owns a time share in Candy Land, it's Dana Perino, "The Five."

Yesterday, President Obama was on "Face the Nation" -- one of those web shows, I believe. I hope he tells us what keeps him going every day.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: But I tell you, what keeps me going every day is to see how resilient the American people are, how hard they work. They -- nothing I go through compares to a guy who's lost his job or lost his home or lost his retirement savings or is trying to figure out how to send his kid to college. What I keep on telling my team here is, don't worry about the fact that we're overworked or we're, you know, getting picked on. Yeah, that's all irrelevant.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GUTFELD: How sweet of him. Our president is impressed by the amount of pain our country can take. Thanks for that. It's nice to know that our anguish is appreciated.

However, I'm thinking, shouldn't he be less wowed by our suffering and more concern that he's due to him and his foreign policies? President Obama is the dominatrix appreciative of his 300 million clients, whose safe word, sadly, is "more."

PERINO: Oh wow.

GUTFELD: Yep, but we take a licking and keep on ticking, but we're not a Timex. In fact, his time and our patience ran out on Tuesday.

So, has he learned a lesson that it's not enough to just build a better mouse trap?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

OBAMA: It's not enough just to build a better mouse trap. People don't automatically come beating to your door. We've got to sell it, we've got to reach out to the other side, and where possible persuade. And I think there are times, there's no doubt about it, where -- yeah, I think we have not been successful in going out there and letting people know what it is we're trying to do and why this is the right direction.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GUTFELD: See, there's the problem. It's never his bad ideas, it's the communicators at fault. They just didn't sell it right. It's not ideology, it's PR. Guess you could say that about the Crystal Pepsi or shingles.

Come on Mr. President, it's not a learned lesson when you blame others. For you, a co-worker is just a speed bump for your bus.

Which is probably why, amused by your own troubles, he's not done yet, though, vowing executive action to block deportation of illegal immigrants.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

OBAMA: If you can get it done before the end of the year, I'm gonna have to take the steps that I can, to improve the system.

I'm going to do what I can do through executive action.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GUTFELD: Great. Here's a blatantly political act that will hurt our poor, who now must compete with the world's poor, during in an already sad job market.

Remember when Bill Clinton use to feel our pain? Obama just doles it out. I guess that's progress.

See, I think, stretched strategically, he's brilliant. What he's doing is, Kimberly, he is -- he's saying, I'm going to go ahead and do this, and if you don't do it, then you're not comprising. Isn't that genius? Because he's saying -- cuz no one's gonna do this, no one's gonna be for the executive action.

KIMBERLY GUILFOYLE, THE FIVE SHOW CO-HOST: Yeah, and you had me at the -- your safe word is "more," that was pretty funny.

Look, this is sad because, it sounds like he's just, you know, complaining that we're very ignorant, we don't get it. It's the job -- it wasn't sold well enough, because if it was, then we would understand and this laborious act that he has to go through to try convince us about was is -- good for us is wearing him out, and that's why they lost the election.

He's still doesn't get it -- I don't think he's ever going to, which is I think totally consistent with the fact that he wants to go ahead with executive action and ignore everyone else and most especially the American people.

GUTFELD: Eric, isn't he basically working from a position that he has nothing to lose?

ERIC BOLLING, CO-HOST: He doesn't have anything of those. So he says, I'm gonna do, I'm gonna sign over whatever, $4 million, $5 million, and then hopefully, you, Senate bring me something -- House and Senate bring me something that I like, we can call -- call it a law sign it into law, if I don't like it'll stay.
So, he -- you're right, he has nothing to lose.

I find it interesting though, when he keeps saying that, I'm going to do what I have to do, or what I can do. It's almost like -- I don't know, in a game, where both sides are kind of feeling each other out. Then you have Ted Cruz and Mike -- Senator Mike Lee saying, you know what? Let's talk about this a confirmation of Attorney General Loretta Lynch, let's see, where she stands out in executive order.

So, they're literally saying, well if she's in favor of President Obama using the executive order, maybe we're gonna hold up for the confirmation.

So, this cat and mouse game, going back and forth, like two fighters, like throwing a flinch to see if there's any ducking, they're going back and forth. The question is will he throw the punch? Will he sign an executive order and knowing that the majority of the American people don't want him to? They may want immigration reform, but they don't want it through executive order, big question.

GUTFELD: What do you think?

PERINO: Well, I think that he may have to throw that punch because, he already had a red line that he didn't hold up to. And this one now, he has said several times on many different -- in many different places, including in private, with the members of Congress that he met with on Friday. And then on "Face the Nation" this week, but should've been called, "Face the Music."

GUTFELD: Nice.

PERINO: After last Tuesday --

GUILFOYLE: Well done.

PERINO: I found it strange there -- there have been about five different reactions from the White House, both on the record and off the record since the election. And I can -- it seems like they're flailing, I can understand they were shocked, I can't believe they weren't better prepared because, there was one story that said the president didn't care, he wasn't even gonna watch. Then the next day, he said that -- it doesn't matter -- on background aides said, well, don't be fooled, we're not gonna work with anybody, this is not gonna change, I think. Then who hear, Oh you what? The president actually told us, who cares the Democrats have already left me anyway, let's find some Republicans we can work with.

I'm not sure exactly where they're going to go, I do think it's tiresome to always blame the communications people and the press office. You can -- they have a fact problem at the White House. They do not have a PR problem.

GUTFELD: Yeah, Juan, do you agree, though, that if they only explained it better, it would have been more successful?

JUAN WILLIAMS, CO-HOST: What?

GUTFELS: Whatever they were trying to explain.

(LAUGHTER)

GUTFELD: It was a disaster.

GUILFOYLE: All of it.

WILLIAMS: Look, I think on this executive order, by the way, you better duck, because the punch is coming.

BOLLING: You think so?

WILLIAMS: I know the punch is coming.

PERINO: Don't duck, lean into it.

BOLLING: Yeah.

WILLIAMS: Lean into it?

PERINO: Is that the right phrase?

WILLIAMS: Yeah, would be. Look at you, a boxing pro over there, Dana Perino.

But, no, I -- I think that you know, most of the American people want something done and I -- I'm amazed you guys. How come you don't notice that the United States Senate and people like Marco Rubio and Orrin Hatch, and Jeff Flake from Arizona all signed on to a immigration bill -- bipartisan immigration reform bill, they got stuck in the house because, Boehner couldn't get the Tea Party caucus to come along. So, why would you say, the president's giving these folks all the time in the world. What about solving a really important problem?

GUTFELD: I find it -- you know what I find interesting, it seems like -- on immigration, the Democrats and Republicans are almost flipped. Because, the Democrats should actually be against like -- uncontrolled immigration, because that creates more economic inequality, correct? It hurts the poor more than anything. You know -- that's why I said, you've got to deal with the American poor first.

BOLLING: But you forget one thing.

GUTFELD: The voting block.

BOLLING: Yes. It's not about in the income inequality, it's not about anything other than, when they finally get the vote.

GUTFELD: Right.

BOLLING: They're gonna vote Democrat, and that's what they think, that's what they're relying on, yeah.

PERINO: However, I do think that this is -- there has been a communications problem and you love facts.

GUTFELD: I do.

PERINO: That's why you have your opinions about global warming, which I think are smart ones, they -- because they are based on facts. I don't have them with me, but John Dearie is somebody who wrote a book about immigration's effect on poor people, lower incomes. And I actually think that there is a case to be made based on fact, that it does overall help the economy and people of lower incomes.

GUTFELD: See, I would.

PERINO: I'm not prepared -- I don't have with it me right now, I will bring it -- I will get it for you, just that you guy -- so that everybody can make their own decisions. That's what the White House has now to try to redefine. And if there are Republicans that are gonna continue to have that position.

WILLIAMS: Yeah.

PERINO: They have to be able -- use facts.

GUTFELD: Yeah. Well, how convenient that you don't have the facts with you, Dana?

WILLIAMS: Oh no, wait a minute. You can't beat her up, she's a boxing pro.

GUTFELD: I know, but I listened to Mickey Kause, so I think is --

PERINO; Yes, I did too.

GUTFELD: Very good on this and the idea that, you have to fix your nation's poor before you can fix the world poor. And so you can't bring in, you can't import poverty until you solve the poverty in your own country.

GUILFOYLE: 100 percent.

GUTFELD: Exactly.

GUILFOYLE: Yeah.

WILLIAMS: But this is not about that. I mean, to my mind, one, these people are already here.

(CROSSTALK)

BOLLING: Concern?

GUILFOYLE: Why shouldn't it be part of it?

WILLIAMS: Well, it can be, but you can -- let's stop and look at the facts that Dana talking about.

GUILFOYLE: Yeah.

WILLIAMS: That fact is we've got these folks already here, often times working in low end jobs, right? And especially in terms of the farming industry and stuff like that.

And so, it's not -- you can't throw them out, I don't know you how you're gonna do that, so we got to find a way, I think to bring them into the legal structure.

BOLLING: Yeah.

WILLIAMS: I think that's important.

BOLLING: Yeah, but that's not Democrat, that's not a Democrat plan.

(CROSSTALK)

BOLLING: No, it's not, Juan, it's not exclusive to Democrats. There are a lot of Republicans.

(CROSSTALK)

BOLLING: There are libertarians who say, make it legal immigration. Allow bigger and more robust immigration, make it legal, rather than a blanket amnesty, which President Obama and the Democrats seem to want to do, because it's faster. That is faster and easier to sign off on -- you know, a group of people to allow them to stay, rather than putting all whatever, $12 million to $15 million, back in line with other people.

WILLIAMS: Let's get away from the politics for a second, Eric. Don't you think that they, it's important that we somehow resolve this issue?

BOLLING: Sure, yes.

WILLIAMS: That's instead of just politicizing it, and it's been a long time.

PERINO: He has a good idea of how to do it.

BOLLING: Juan -- in on, we said it here, I have said it on "Cashin' In" a bunch of times.

WILLIAMS: Yeah.

BOLLING: Make it legal immigration, quadruple -- triple or quadruple the real immigration system here in America.

WILLIAMS: Yeah, what are you gonna do about the people that are here?

BOLLING: Put them in line with everyone else.

(CROSSTALK)

WILLIAMS: Fine. I think that is the.

GUILFOYLE: There's a cue, so --

WILLIAMS: Right, but they would get to the back of the line.

GUILFOLYE: Yeah, but how do you think the people feel that are going about this, in the legal process respecting the country they wanted to be part of it. I understand all sides of it, I really do. But you even can't just wipe and just say they're here, OK, and let them cut the line. It has to be a process to it, there has to be due process so that everybody is treated fairly.

WILLIAMS: I think even under the proposals being considered, people would have to apply, pay fines, and get in the back of the line, to your point.

GUTFELD: How is that -- how the Republican.

GUILFOYLE: Take your Deli number, that's my point.

GUTFELD: Refrain this argument, so they don't come off as the bad guy.

PERINO: That's a great question.

GUTFELD: Thank you.

PERINO: But the truth is actually, look at how President Obama, having even lost last Tuesday, we are now talking on his terms about the issue he wants to talk about as if immigration is the biggest problem facing America today, and I think it is not. I think that our tax structure is, what is hurting us, I think our energy policy is what hurting us.

Republicans have, got to find their way to allow the president to decide if he's gonna do this immigration piece, of course, what he likes about that politically, is that it splits the Republicans. That helps him immediately going into January. I think that they have to find a way to say, "What is the most important issue?" And its jobs. And Immigration is a part of that, but overall they're gonna keep stepping back and not allow the president to frame this as this -- as this is the only thing that really matters in America.

WILLIAMS: You're afraid you're afraid.

PERINO: I'm not afraid.

WILLIAMS: Afraid of the Civil war.

PERINO: Afraid of what?

WILLIAMS: Civil war inside the Republican --

PERINO: I don't like it because.

(CROSSTALK)

PERINO; I don't like war, no.

WILLIAMS: Right, what I'm saying, I think, that's what I Eric was talking about earlier, that you see Republicans, who right now and say, we don't want to negotiate with Obama on anything.

PERINO: No, no, no, but look on what.

WILLIAMS: And you just shut down on the government over --

PERINO: Look, what just what happen in the past year, or the election cycle, mainly in the last year, you have Republicans from all under the big tent, from every corner of the big tent working together to elect Republicans at a historic.

GUILFOYLE: I think that.

BOLLING: Right, yeah.

PERINO: I think that the president would be smarter to say the Republicans, "Fine, you -- I said you should win elections, you did. I'll give you until March 1st to try to pass something, and if you don't, then I'll do."

(CROSSTALK)

WILLIAMS: In 2013, when the Senate passed the bipartisan immigration reform bill. And then --

PERINO: You don't think it's a big mistake for Obama to do the executive order before the end of the year?

WILLIAMS: Now I say, what did Eric say?

GUILFOYLE: Yes.

WILLIAMS: What's -- it's no price for him at this point.

PERINO: I think it does. I think it poisons the well for everything else.

BOLLING: There was a meeting with a bipartisan meeting with the president and the vice president. And -- what's trickled out of that meeting is very important, where Boehner said, we'll get something to you Mr. President, don't just go sign some blanket amnesty.

GUILFOYLE: Right.

BOLLING: It would get something to -- hold on, Obama said, no were gonna do this by the end of the year. Biden actually said, how long will it take to Boehner? Biden gets shut down.

GUILFOYLE: He got shut down.

BOLLING: He got shut up, because President Obama doesn't want to give the Republicans the opportunity say, we have something for you.

(CROSSTALK)

WILLIAMS: But don't forget, they had all this time from 2013 until now, right? Plus, guess what, Boehner said, we'll do this piece meal. We don't like the comprehensive plan that came outside, so we do it piece meal, but Eric, have they done anything piece meal?

GUTFELD: Let me bring Kimberly in here.

WILLIAMS: No.

GUTFELD: Because she's sitting here quietly. What should the Republican do?

GUILFOYLE: It's good posture, like Dana.

GUTFELD: Yes, and I think American needs to see this good posture.

PERINO: You have a remarkable posture.

GUILFOYLE: Yeah.

GUTFELD: How should they deal with Obama's gambit?

GUILFOYLE: You know what? I think they should hold him accountable. I would love to see the president show incredible maturity and political dexterity. Bees with honey, President Obama. Give him a little something, give him something that actually is going to make you look good, so that in fact you don't poison the well, and when you want something, then there is the spirit of compromise that should step in. And Joe Biden, 2016 who knows, Hillary's not looking so good, according to the exit polls, 20 percent to 24 percent. Point is, tell the president to let you finish your sentence and don't let him cut you off.

PERINO: Has that ever happened anywhere else? I said right here. Sorry, Kimberly.
