President Obama will become the first sitting president to appear on a daytime talk show when he visits "The View" during a taping in New York Wednesday. But his decision is being met with some criticism from a fellow Democrat.
Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell told another network, "I think there's got to be a little bit of dignity to the presidency... I wouldn't put him on 'Jerry Springer' too, right? I think the president of the United States has to go on serious shows... I'm not sure he has to go on 'The View' to be open to questions."

Despite making the historic visit to "The View," President Obama will miss out on another historic occasion: The Boy Scouts' jamboree marking the group's 100th anniversary.
The president, who serves as honorary president of the Boy Scouts of America, had been invited to speak to the 45,000 Scouts gathered just outside Washington, but will instead send his regards via videotaped message.
The White House denied the TV appearance on “The View” was the reason for missing the jamboree, saying "Democratic fundraisers" prevented the president from attending.

The Daily Mail reports Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attacked Paul for spreading "Western propaganda and superstition," saying "those who believe in this type of thing cannot be the leaders of the global nations that aspire -- like Iran -- to human perfection."
Oh, Paul.
