Beefed Up Security at Theme Parks, Schools, Movie Theaters Amid Terror Fears Is the 'New Normal'

Charles Payne: Kill our enemies so that we can get back to the lives we live. Do what you're supposed to do. Last Saturday going to the mall and the entire mall evacuated. The entire mall evacuated. We don't want to live like this and should not have to.

Charlie Gasparino: I agree. The president says that we have to take in more Syrian refugees. As we're doing that, just deal with the other stuff. He is looking to what I think is change the way of life just to satisfy his goal to boost the rolls of Democratic voters.

Katie Pavlich: I think that a heightened sense of security is a good thing. We tend to get complacent and that's why some of these things tend to happen. The private sector is raising security to protect themselves from lawsuits or the loss of revenue.

Adam Lashinsky: I don't like this if it's the new normal. I don't see why we are settling and we are trying to beat the enemy.

Ben Stein: We are moving to the inedible of an Israeli style security state. I don't think we can bomb ISIS out of existence. ISIS is a mental illness and we can't bomb that. We will see this security grow. The whole country is changing dramatically.

New Focus on GOP Leadership in Wake of $1.1 Trillion Spending Bill

Charles Payne: The passing of the spending bill is a display of arrogance, stupidity, and greed by our government. Washing ton has let everyone down.

Charlie Gasparino: The reason why Ted Cruz catching up to Trump, is because what the Republicans gave up in the House.

Katie Pavlich: Well I think that Republicans have a real problem with standing up to not just the establishment but also to President Obama. They're not willing to go down the path of fighting the PR battle of the government shut down. They're not willing to fight for what they want. Getting that and the excuse is that we're not going to get that and that's ridiculous. They control the House and Senate. This spending bill increasing the spending more under the Republicans in Congress than it did during the Democratic rule of Bush. It's astounding how much they're spending here.

Ben Stein: This is government as usual. The spending bill doesn't look that terrible but we eventually have to default.

Adam Lashinsky: The Republicans have both houses but they do not have the votes to pass legislation.

Lawmakers Push for Social Media Checks of All US Visa Applicants

Ben Stein: Absolutely. Without question. The only thing is there are so many postings on Facebook, so many are in Arabic or other foreign languages where do we get the people to read it? If there is word processing or word reading software to read it, do we trust it? This is an opportunity and an urgent safety and security need.

Katie Pavlich: We are not talking about scraping the Internet for ISIS propaganda but people who applied to the system.

Charlie Gasparino: I'm so happy only half the employers don't check Facebook. I guess Roger would see me in my speedo, right?

Charles Payne: They have algorithms capable of looking for key words. Certain key words to pull them out to raise a red flag. We need to use this technology.

Adam Lashinsky: The government doesn't need to add new laws, just add it to the repertoire.
