Occupied Territory
The back-and-forth continues between Occupy D.C. protesters and conservatives who say their forum at the Washington convention center was disrupted and attendees injured.
Protesters are upset because four people were struck by a vehicle Friday night but the driver was not ticketed.
Police said witnesses confirmed the driver had a green light when three protesters were struck.
Today, Metro PD says it will adjust tactics to ensure citizens' safety but that demonstrators have become increasingly confrontational and violent toward uninvolved bystanders and motorists.
Hold the Phone
The House is considering a bill that would loosen restrictions on telemarketing calls to cell phones.
The Hill reports supporters say the current law, which bans automated dialing to mobile phones, is outdated by 20 years.
They say many people no longer have land line phones and the new bill would only allow calls for informational purposes like flight delays and recalled products.
However, critics worry it's a slippery slope, that people could opt in to receiving robocalls without really meaning to.
Sign of the Times
And finally, a Texas Christian University student government candidate was asked to cover up part of his campaign slogan because the school said a word could be deemed derogatory.
Graham McMillan says he introduces himself as Graham, like the cracker. So he put his nickname, Graham "Cracker" McMillan on his campaign signs.
But the school worried it might be offensive so they gave him some tape to cover it up ahead of tomorrow's election day.
