Police Investigate Apparent Killing of Canadian Man in Cayman Islands

GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands – Authorities in the Cayman Islands are investigating the apparent slaying of a Canadian man who worked for a local construction company.

Police spokeswoman Debora Denis says the body of the 47-year-old was found Tuesday in a seaside home he was renting.

Relatives have identified the man as Martin Gareau.

Denis says he was killed, but officials declined to say how. No one has been arrested.
