DAYTON, Ohio (AP) Tucker Yinger ran 50 yards for the go-ahead touchdown midway through the fourth quarter and Dayton held on to knock off Butler 27-24 and remain unbeaten Saturday night.

Matt Shiltz hit Marquese Martin-Hayes with a 55-yard touchdown pass early in the third quarter to give Butler a 24-14 lead, but the Bulldogs (4-3, 2-2 Pioneer) could not find the end zone again.

William Will kicked a 44-yard field goal to cut the Butler lead to 24-17, then converted a 28-yarder that made it 24-20 two minutes into the fourth quarter.

Alex Jeske was 22 of 38 for 219 yards and a touchdown for Dayton (7-0, 4-0).

Shiltz was 13 of 29 for 319 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another 59 yards and a touchdown to lead Butler.

Yinger finished with 44 yards and a touchdown rushing and caught three passes for 49 yards and a score.
