FAIRBORN, Ohio – Vaughn Duggins scored a career-high 26 points, hitting a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to lift Wright State to a 67-64 win over Wisconsin-Green Bay on Saturday.
Duggins hit the winning shot from the left wing to give the Raiders (9-6, 2-1 Horizon League) their sixth win in seven games after a four-game skid.
The score was tied 12 times and there were 10 lead changes. The Phoenix (6-9, 1-3) built the game's largest lead at 48-42 with 9 minutes left on a three-point play by Jarvis Williams.
Wright State, which was 25 of 32 from the line, hit 6 of 6 free throws to lead 62-59 with 1:26 to go. Steve Baker's 3 tied it at 64 with 5 seconds left.
Troy Tabler added 19 points and N'Gai Evans 13 for the Raiders.
Williams and Bryquis Perine scored 14 each for Wisconsin-Green Bay, which outshot Wright State in the second half 59.1 percent (13 of 22) to 35.7 percent (10 of 28).
