Wofford to open at Clemson, host six

Spartanburg, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Two of the Wofford football team's first three games in 2015 will be against FBS opponents and the Terriers will play six times at home as part of an 11-game schedule announced Wednesday.

Wofford, which was 6-5 this past season under veteran coach Mike Ayers, will kick off the campaign on Sept. 5 at Clemson and travel to Idaho on Sept. 19.

It will mark just the third time Wofford will face two FBS teams in the same season (2001, Clemson and South Carolina; 2009, South Florida and Wisconsin).

The Terriers' home schedule consists of games against Tennessee Tech (Sept. 12) and Gardner-Webb (Sept. 26) as well as Southern Conference opponents Western Carolina (Oct. 17), Chattanooga (Oct. 24, Homecoming), Samford (Nov. 14) and Furman (Nov. 21).
