ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Winnipeg Jets selected Swift Current Broncos forward Adam Lowry with the 67th overall pick in the NHL draft on Saturday.
The six-foot-four, 186-pound Calgary native had 45 points (18 goals, 27 assists) in 66 games with the Western Hockey League club last season.
Later in the third round, the Jets took defenceman Brennan Serville at No. 78. He had 30 points (3-27) in 36 games with Stouffville of the Ontario Junior Hockey League last season.
Winnipeg selected Tri-City Americans defenceman Zachary Yuen at No. 119 and took Belleville Bulls forward Austen Brassard at No. 149.
At No. 157, the Jets picked goaltender Jason Kasdorf from the Portage Terriers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. In the seventh round, Winnipeg selected American defenceman Aaron Harstad from Green Bay of the USHL.
It has been a busy weekend for the Jets.
Winnipeg named Claude Noel head coach on Friday and later confirmed the team name shortly before taking Barrie Colts forward Mark Scheifele with the seventh overall pick.
