Will former head coach Steve Spurrier stick around in Columbia and continue to work at South Carolina?

It appears as if this could be a possibility.

According to a report from The State, Spurrier will be offered a special assistant position to school president Harris Pastides and athletic director Ray Tanner. This will occur once Spurrier's contract officially runs out in December. In order to accept the position, Spurrier will have to live in Columbia.

It's an interesting scenario, and one in which Spurrier could still provide wisdom and experience to the football team in some capacity. His overall success at the university surely contributes to the desire to Spurrier back into the fold.
