The San Diego Padres announced Tuesday that INF/OF Wil Myers will begin a rehab assignment in Single-A Lake Elsinore tonight. Myers played in 35 games this season before being placed on the disabled list with left wrist tendinitis. His last game was on June 13 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Myers was hitting .277 with 30 runs scored and 19 RBI.

The team also announced that they recalled pitcher Nick Vincent from Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday, while reinstating pitcher Marcos Mateo from the 15-day DL.

The Padres play the Texas Rangers Tuesday night, looking to win their fourth straight contest against them.
