White Sox put in waiver claim for Kubel

The Chicago White Sox have reportedly put in a waiver claim on outfielder Jason Kubel.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the White Sox have put in the claim and the Twins now have until noon on Friday to decided whether to pull back, trade or award Kubel.

Kubel is batting .290 with nine homers and 45 RBI in 81 games for Minnesota this season. He missed all of June and much of July with a left foot sprain.

Over seven seasons in the majors, all with Minnesota, he has batted .273 with 101 home runs and 416 RBI in 735 games.
