No sooner than Temple took the lead over Notre Dame in Philadelphia, the Fighting Irish struck right back.
Facing a third and short, quarterback DeShone Kizer pulled the ball on a zone read fake, taking advantage of an aggressive Owls defense keying on running back C.J. Prosise.
Kizer turned up field to find only one man left, picked up a block on him and raced 79 yards for a touchdown that put the Fighting Irish on top 14-10 in the second quarter.
