UFC featherweight Clay Guida started his Saturday fight against Thiago Tavares in typical Clay Guida fashion -- with an explosion of energy.

The nine-year UFC veteran, Guida, shot for a takedown after landing a few good jabs, but Tavares was ready. The Brazilian caught Guida's neck as both fighters went to the ground and locked in a deep guillotine.

"The Carpenter," realizing how much trouble he was in after falling into Tavares' guard, tried to work his way into better position but only ended up with his Reebok shorts nearly at his ankles. Guida tapped out a few seconds later, giving Tavares the fastest submission win in UFC featherweight history.
