Midway through the third quarter of the Vikings' visit to Ford Field on Sunday, All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson did something he has done before: He ripped off a really long run against the Lions.

Just watch him dust Detroit defense on a 75-yard run in the video below, courtesy of the NFL's official Twitter account.

A few of the longest runs of Peterson's career have come against the Lions, Vikings director of media relations Jeff Anderson.

Likewise, Peterson is putting together a vintage season. With 98 more yards in Week 7, the 30-year-old running back has 540 rushing yards through six games (90 yards per game).

Peterson has a shot at this year's rushing title, after sitting out 15 games last season.
