Orono, ME – Redshirt junior Marcus Wasilewski will open the season as the University of Maine's starting quarterback.
Wasilewski, from Kulpmont, Pa., played in five games last season, but threw only one pass, completing it for no yards. The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder also completed one pass for 10 yards as a redshirt freshman in 2010.
Maine, coming off a 9-4 record and a runner-up finish in CAA Football, will open its season on Sept. 8 at Boston College.
