Washington leads No. 13 Georgia Tech over Maryland

Tevin Washington burned Maryland with his legs and his arm Saturday.

The quarterback ran for 116 yards and two touchdowns and threw for 114 yards on 6-of-21 passing with one interception, leading No. 13 Georgia Tech to a 21-16 win over the Terrapins.

David Sims gained 87 yards on 14 carries and Stephen Hill hauled in two passes for 50 yards for the Yellow Jackets (6-0, 3-0 ACC).

Maryland's backup quarterback C.J. Brown rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown and threw for 35 yards and one interception after replacing starter Danny O'Brien late in the second quarter.

O'Brien completed 1-of-6 passes for 17 yards and one interception and Davin Meggett collected 89 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries for the Terrapins (2-3, 1-1).
