Oakland, CA – The Golden State Warriors signed free agent center Earl Barron on Saturday.
The move comes two days after the club announced center Kwame Brown is expected to miss at least three months with a torn chest muscle that will require surgery.
Barron spent time with Portland, Phoenix and Milwaukee last season. He has also played for Miami -- winning an NBA title with the Heat in 2006 -- and New York.
The 30-year-old has averaged 5.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in 110 career games.
