Walton to enter Robert Morris Hall of Fame

Joe Walton will be elected into the Robert Morris University Athletic Hall of Fame on the eve of his final home game as the only head football coach in Colonials history.

Walton will retire as coach after his 20th season this year. He is the lone inductee in Robert Morris' 23rd annual class and will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at a special dinner Nov. 15 at the Marriott Pittsburgh Airport.

The Colonials will host Sacred Heart the following day in a Northeast Conference game. They will complete Walton's final season on Nov. 23 at Saint Francis (Pa.).

In 19 years guiding Robert Morris, Walton has compiled a 109-86-1 record, including a 70-44 mark in the NEC. Six of his teams have won NEC regular-season championships.
