NEW YORK – Tyler Murray scored 26 points, and Wagner defeated Robert Morris 83-78 in overtime on Thursday night.
Murray was 8 of 10 from the free-throw line as the Seahawks (7-7, 3-0 Northeast Conference) shot 82.1 percent from the charity stripe (23 of 28), including 8 of 8 in overtime.
Karon Abraham brought Robert Morris to within one, 79-78, with 7 seconds left in the extra period. Josh Thompson then made two free throws for an 81-78 Wagner lead with 6 seconds left.
On the Colonials' next possession Gary Wallace turned it over and Murray made two free throws to seal it.
Latif Rivers scored 22 points, and Orlando Parker had 13 points and 12 rebounds for Wagner, which had 19 assists to just nine turnovers.
Abraham led Robert Morris (5-9, 1-2) with 32 points. Lijah Thompson added 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Colonials, and Russell Johnson chipped in 10 points.
