Germany will work with the World Anti-Doping Agency to investigate a scandal at an Olympic training center in the country.

Germany's national anti-doping agency and WADA said in a joint statement they have agreed to look into possible misconduct regarding blood treatment at the Erfurt Olympic center.

Both agencies met to discuss the case against Dr. Andreas Franke, who is suspected of treating athletes' blood with ultraviolet light before injecting it back into the athlete. The procedure is banned by WADA.

WADA director general David Howman says, "The important thing for now is that the doctor that carried out these procedures is no longer working at the center."
