A trilogy will come to an end on November 7 as Vitor Belfort faces Dan Henderson for the third time at UFC Fight Night from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Henderson announced the fight via Twitter on Saturday night.
The series is currently tied at one win a piece with Henderson holding a victory over Belfort from their bout in PRIDE Fighting Championships in 2006, while the Brazilian picked up a huge knockout in their rematch in 2013.
Most recently, Henderson bounced back from a series of losses with a finish over Tim Boetsch with a huge knockout in just 28 seconds into the first round.
Belfort will look for redemption following a first round defeat to middleweight champion Chris Weidman back at UFC 187 in May. Prior to that loss, Belfort had won three fights in a row all of them coming by way of knockout.
The third fight will likely put an end to the rivalry as Henderson and Belfort both look to get the win and pick up a big victory in the middleweight division.
Belfort vs. Henderson 3 is the first confirmed fight for the card in Brazil with more bouts expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
