Brandon Rozzell came off the bench to score 22 points as Virginia Commonwealth defeated North Carolina-Wilmington 82-64 Saturday night.

All six of Rozzell's baskets were 3-pointers as the Rams (11-5, 3-1 Colonial Athletic Association) connected on 10 of 22 from beyond the arc. Jamie Skeen added 15 points and Bradford Burgess chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds as the Rams hit 50.9 percent of their field-goal tries (27 of 53) and 18 of 22 free throws.

The Seahawks (8-7, 2-2) saw their three-game winning streak ended as they made only 41 percent of their shots from the field (25 of 61) and 50 percent from the line (8 of 16). Chad Tomko led UNC-Wilmington with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Tanner Wilson tried to cut VCU's lead to one early in the second half, but misfired on a 3-pointer. Rozzell answered with a 3 and the Rams led by at least five the rest of the way.
