Birmingham, England – Aston Villa added Belgium international striker Christian Benteke on Friday, who moves to Villa from Genk on a four- year contract.
The deal is worth $11 million and it sees the 21-year-old arrive at Villa after the club had two bids turned down by Genk previously.
Benteke has scored three times in five games this season after he tallied 18 goals for Genk last term.
"The deal was difficult, but now I'm a player for Aston Villa and I would like to say thank you to my manager and to everyone. I will go forward for a new challenge," Benteke told Sky Sports News.
"I don't know (how many goals) I will get for Villa, but I will do my best.
"The Premier League is the best in the world and it's a dream for me to come here."
