Eden Prairie, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to a contract extension with defensive end Brian Robison, the team announced Wednesday.

Robison is in his seventh season with the Vikings and has appeared in 94 games with 38 starts since being selected by Minnesota in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft.

Since assuming a starting role in 2011, the 30-year-old Texas product has racked up 17 1/2 sacks, including a career-high 8 1/2 in 2012.

Through four games this season, Robison has recorded 10 tackles, one sack and a 61-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
