Valencia's Banega out up to six weeks

Valencia, Spain – Valencia confirmed on Wednesday that midfielder Ever Banega could miss up to six weeks with a knee injury.

Banega sustained the problem in Tuesday's 3-1 Champions League win over Bayer Leverkusen and had to be replaced after 24 minutes, with tests on Wednesday revealing strained ligaments in his right knee.

The 23-year-old has started eight of Valencia's 10 games in the league this season.
